Mogadishu, SONNA – Finance Minister Bihi Iman Egeh chaired the monthly meeting of the Financial Governance Committee (FGC) today. The FGC, which includes representatives from the Federal Government of Somalia and international economic organizations, focused on several key areas to improve the country’s financial management.
The meeting’s agenda covered the development and enhancement of domestic revenue, strengthening the Good Financial Governance system, modernizing the national procurement process, and boosting the efficiency of financial administration. These initiatives are designed to align with best practices and set a clear path to success.
Minister Bihi emphasized the government’s dedication to implementing a transparent financial system that adheres to the principles of good governance. He noted that accountability and strong governance are integral to Somalia’s economic growth and development.
