Mogadishu(SONNA)-Election of Six from the 11 seats of the Upper House seats from Somaliland was on Wednesday held in Mogadishu and former speaker of the Upper House, Hon. Abdi Hashi Abdullahi was re-elected.
Current Minister of the Constitution, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama’ was elected to be senator in the on-going election at Afisiyoni camp.
Information Minister, Osman Abokar Dubbe and Academic scholar, Professor Abdi Ismael Samater were also elected to be the new senators.
11 Candidates of Upper House seats from Somaliland delivered speeches yesterday and made promises on what whey would do if they’re elected to the seats of one of Somalia’s two houses of Parliament.
