Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, conducted an oversight visit to the Office of the Auditor General of the Nation, a key institution driving accountability and transparency in public service delivery. The visit underscored the government’s commitment to good governance and the enhancement of public services under the #DanQaran initiative.
During the visit, the Auditor General and other senior officials briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on the ongoing reforms in legislation, strategies, and operational plans aimed at modernizing the office’s functions. Discussions also touched on efforts to align Somalia’s audit practices with international standards, ensuring efficient oversight and financial accountability.
The visit aligns with the National Transformation Plan, which prioritizes the reform of government institutions to ensure public services reflect the aspirations of the Somali people.
