Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Salah Ahmed Jama and the Minister of Defence, Abdikadir Mohamed Nur participated in the graduation ceremony for the 11th cohort of the Danab Commando forces at Balidoogle camp. Major General Odawa Yusuf Rage, Commander of the Somali National Army, joined the graduation event.
The newly graduated cohort completed their training at the Hassan Ture Military Training School, which aims to strengthen the national forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism, particularly against Al-Shabaab.
During the ceremony, General Odawa highlighted the crucial role of the Danab forces in combating terrorism, stating, “This newly graduated cohort will bring fresh energy to our efforts.”
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence also addressed the troops, reinforcing the importance of their mission and the government’s commitment to supporting the armed forces. General Odawa inspected various military units at the camp, encouraging the newly trained soldiers and emphasizing the essential role of the Danab forces in the defense of the nation.
