Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Leads Somali Delegation at Nairobi Conference

Nairobi, Kenya – A high-level delegation led by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior, Federal and Reconciliation, Abdihakin Hassan Ashkir, recently participated in an important conference in Nairobi. The focus of the meeting was to evaluate the implementation of Somalia’s legal recognition process, with participation from several countries and donor organizations that support Somalia.

Key attendees included representatives from Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Somali Joint Fund. After extensive discussions, these officials reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the implementation of legal identification in Somalia.

Minister Abdihakin Hassan Ashkir expressed gratitude to the participating countries and organizations for their unwavering support of Somali government institutions and their dedication to the well-being of the Somali people.
