Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahamuud Moallim Abdulle met with Meciej Popowski who is the Director-General of the European Union’s Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations at the EU Commission to discuss a collaborative approach to addressing the impacts of Climate Change, including issues such as droughts and floods.
SoDMA presented the relief and assistance extended to communities affected by Climate Change, discussed challenges in preventing aid diversion, and covered strengthening disaster recovery, developing prevention plans, and delivering basic services.
