Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mohamud Moalim Abdulle engaged in a productive discussion with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Somalia, H.E Amb. Ahmed Juma Al Rumaithi to explore opportunities for the UAE Government to bolster disaster resilience initiatives and aid recovery efforts from past El-Nino floods.
The focus is on collaborating to develop sustainable solutions for recovery projects and fortifying preparedness for potential future droughts. The UAE’s support plan aims to strengthen SoDMA’s readiness and establish a comprehensive reserve for swift response
