Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahamuud Moallim Abdulle and a delegation including Members of the Parliament, the Governor of the Lower Shabelle and other leaders of the Agency, visited Barawe to assess the humanitarian situation following a deadly outbreak of diarrhoea in the region.
Mr. Mahamuud and his delegation, consisting of doctors, quickly provided vital medical supplies to the city hospital in response to the urgent situation in Barawe. The Commissioner emphasised the urgent need for a wide-scale emergency response to save lives.
