Mogadishu, Somalia (SONNA): The Cabinet of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia, in its regular weekly meeting, has approved the proposal from the Ministry of Interior, Federalism, and Reconciliation for the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Hussen Elmi as the Commissioner of Somali Refugees and Displaced Persons.
In addition, the Cabinet has endorsed the Ministry of Finance’s proposal for Ms. Hanifa Mohamed Ibrahim to join the Central Bank of Somalia’s Executive Board.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Mundane Hamsa Abdi Barre, also included presentations of various reports assessing the performance of Government Ministries. Discussions covered the Government System Law and efforts to raise public awareness about the upcoming one-person, one-vote elections.
