Somalia, Russia Discuss Strengthening Security Cooperation

MOGADISHU (SONNA) – The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Igor Zubov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, to discuss strengthening security cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions focused on training and capacity-building for the Somali Police Force, counterterrorism training, preventing extremist ideologies and enhancing the professional skills of police officers.
