Somalia, EU to Convene Inaugural Business Forum on Trade and Investment

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Jamal Mohamed Hassan, announced the upcoming EU–Somalia Business Forum, scheduled for October 5–6, 2026.

The inaugural forum will bring together Somali and European businesses, investors, government representatives and partners under one platform to explore opportunities and build lasting commercial partnerships.

Building on years of sector-focused engagement, the forum marks a broader and more integrated approach to strengthening trade, investment and private-sector partnerships between Somalia and the European Union.
