Somalia, China Business Forum Opens in Mogadishu as Investment Opportunities Take Centre Stage

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, today officially opened the Somalia–China Business Networking Forum in Mogadishu, bringing together government officials, diplomats, business leaders and investors from Somalia and China.
Organised by Somalia’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the forum was attended by Federal Government ministers, the Ambassadors of Somalia and China, the Somali Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the China-Africa Chamber of Commerce, as well as companies and investors from both countries.
Deputy PM Salah encouraged Chinese companies and investors to explore Somalia’s growing investment opportunities, particularly in infrastructure, manufacturing, fisheries, agriculture, energy, transport and logistics.
He stressed that stronger Somalia-China commercial ties should translate into job creation, increased investment and greater domestic production, supporting Somalia’s broader economic development.
