Somalia Announces 2025/2026 National Secondary School Examination Results

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia has officially announced the results of the Grade 12 national secondary school certificate examination for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The Ministry said 40,037 students passed the examination, while 2,879 students did not pass.
The national certificate examination was conducted this year across all regions of the country, with the Ministry stating that it was administered smoothly and transparently.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre congratulated the three students who achieved the highest scores in the national secondary school examination.
The Prime Minister spoke by telephone with the top-performing students, commending their effort, dedication and commitment throughout their education.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre also informed the top-performing students and the Somali public that the Federal Government of Somalia has guaranteed to cover all their education expenses as they enter university.
