SoDMA, UNICEF Strengthen Cooperation on Humanitarian Logistics

MOGADISHU (SONNA) – The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), held a meeting in Mogadishu to strengthen cooperation among government institutions, businesses and humanitarian transport and logistics operators, particularly along the Mogadishu-Baidoa corridor.

Discussions focused on assessing transport capacity, identifying challenges affecting humanitarian aid delivery and establishing a more efficient and secure logistics system to accelerate assistance and prevent delays and aid diversion.

The initiative forms part of SoDMA’s efforts to promote transparency, accountability and stronger partnerships to ensure humanitarian assistance reaches communities most in need.
