SoDMA, UNICEF Hold Talks to Strengthen Humanitarian Aid Delivery

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), in collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has held a meeting in Mogadishu to strengthen cooperation among government institutions, businesses and humanitarian transport and logistics operators, particularly along the Mogadishu-Baidoa corridor.

Discussions focused on assessing transport capacity, identifying challenges affecting humanitarian aid delivery and establishing a more efficient and secure logistics system to accelerate assistance, prevent delays and address the diversion of humanitarian aid.

The initiative forms part of SoDMA’s efforts to promote transparency, accountability and stronger partnerships to ensure humanitarian assistance reaches communities most in need.
