President Hassan Sheikh Inaugurates New Interior Ministry Headquarters

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today officially inaugurated the new headquarters of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation in Mogadishu.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Federal Government, led by the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali (Ali Hosh), along with Cabinet ministers, members of both Houses of the Federal Parliament, ambassadors, representatives of international partners, and members of the public.

The reopening of the ministry’s headquarters marks a significant milestone in the reconstruction and modernization of Somalia’s state institutions, ending years in which the ministry operated from temporary premises since the beginning of the Third Republic.

The new facility reflects the Federal Government’s continued commitment to strengthening public institutions and enhancing the capacity of government ministries to deliver services effectively.
