Ministry of Information Pays Tribute to Veteran Journalist Mahmoud Abdi Ali

Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia has expressed its deepest condolences following the passing of veteran Somali journalist, Mahmoud Abdi Ali D'uale, describing his death as a significant loss to the country's media fraternity.
In a condolence message, the Minister of Information, H.E. Abdifitah Qasim Mahmoud, together with Deputy Minister H.E. Abdirahman Yusuf Omar (Al-Adala), Director General Mr. Abdullahi Hayir Du'ale, and the Ministry's staff, extended sympathies to the late journalist's family, relatives, and the wider Somali media community.
Mahmoud Abdi Ali D'uale was one of the pioneers of Somali journalism. He served at Radio Mogadishu from 1972 to 1982, holding several key positions that contributed to the development of the national broadcaster, public awareness, and the advancement of professional journalism. He later worked with independent and international media organizations, including the BBC Somali Service.
