Federal and Regional Leaders Converge on Baidoa for Southwest President’s Inauguration

BAIDOA(SONNA)-Senior officials from Somalia's Federal Government, Banadir Regional Administration and several Federal Member States arrived in Baidoa on Sunday ahead of the inauguration of Southwest State President Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madobe).
Among the arrivals was Banadir Regional Administration and Mogadishu Mayor Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Mungab), who led a high-level delegation received at Shaati Guduud Airport by President Madoobe, alongside Southwest ministers, lawmakers and senior officials.

A delegation led by Hirshabelle President Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Gudlawe) also arrived in Baidoa to attend the inauguration ceremony, scheduled for Monday.
Delegations from Galmudug, Northeast State and the Federal Government were also in the city, underscoring broad participation in the event following Madobe's election last month.
The gathering is expected to bring together senior political leaders from across Somalia and is seen as a demonstration of cooperation between the Federal Government and the country's Federal Member States as they seek to strengthen intergovernmental relations and advance state-building efforts.
