Mogadishu, (SONNA) – In the outskirts of Mogadishu tonight, an Iftar meeting to commemorate the peace and security of the capital Mogadishu and the Banadir region in general, attended by the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi.

The Minister of Justice, the Governor of Banadir, heads of the Somali Security Forces and more joined the community in Dayniile for Iftar in prayer, with discussions highlighting the importance of community led security in the fight against the Al-Shabaab terrorist group.

The Minister pointed out that the location of this Iftar gathering being in the outskirts of Mogadishu is a sign of the peace and security brought on by the Somali Security Forces.

Minister Fiqi reassured the community that despite their recent cowardly attempts in Mogadishu, the war against the Khawarij terrorist gangs is going to continue.

The Minister further warned those supporting the terrorists on social media and other platforms.
