MOGADISHU, (SONNA) – The Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Republic of Somalia (OAGS) has proudly announced the graduation of four senior staff members, including the Deputy Auditor General for Investigations, from a prestigious Postgraduate Diploma in Management Practice programme.
The one-year programme, delivered jointly by the African Organisation of English-speaking Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E) and Henley Business School Africa in Johannesburg, forms part of the Senior Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) – a broader initiative to enhance strategic leadership across public audit institutions.
This internationally recognized training aims to strengthen leadership capacity by improving understanding of governance and its role in public accountability, equipping leaders to navigate complex systems, drive institutional change, and uphold transparency and ethical standards.
Auditor General Ahmed Ciise Guutaale hailed the achievement as a significant step in bolstering the oversight of public financial management, grounded in integrity, accountability, and service excellence. He extended his gratitude to AFROSAI-E and Henley Business School for their impactful support in advancing the professionalism of Somalia’s audit institutions.
