Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Attorney General of the Federal Government of Somalia, Dr. Suleyman Mohamed, accompanied by Deputy Attorney General Yahya Mahmoud Said, conducted a work inspection at the Immigration and Naturalisation Agency of Somalia. The visit aimed to address issues related to illegal immigration, human trafficking, and smuggling.
Upon arrival, the Director General of the Immigration and Naturalization Agency, Mustaf Sheikh Ali Dhuxulow, welcomed the Attorney General and provided a briefing on the agency’s activities.
During a special meeting held at the agency, the officials discussed measures to combat illegal immigration and trafficking, which have significantly harmed the Somali community, particularly affecting parents and youth.
As a result, the Attorney General announced the establishment of a dedicated unit to specifically tackle crimes related to illegal immigration.
