Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre on Monday appointed Abdisalan Abdi Ali as second deputy prime minister while naming former Finance Minister, Dr. Elmi Nur as Minister of Public works and Housing, Yusuf Mohamed Aden as Minister of labour and social services and Mohamed Ahmed Aden as Minister of Ports and Marine transport.
Spokesperson of the Somali Government, Farhan Mohamed Jima said that the Prime Minister also appointed six other State Minister for the Ministries of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Women and Family Affairs, Labour and Social Services, Fisheries and Blue Economy and Trade and Industry.
This appointment is seen as necessary in maintaining for the extensive and critical operations of the Federal Government of Somalia according to the Spokesperson.
