Mogadishu, March 23, 2024 – In a significant development, the Somali government’s security agencies have successfully apprehended a terror cell linked to the recent SYL Hotel attack. A total of 16 suspects are now in custody, including Abdinasir Dahir Noor, identified as a key facilitator in the attack.
The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has confirmed the arrest of four individuals believed to be the registered owners of the vehicles used in the assault. Additionally, investigations are underway involving five members of the security forces who were on duty at the checkpoint utilized by the attackers to enter the city.
Authorities have pledged to release comprehensive evidence outlining the Khawarij Network’s conspiracy and the subsequent investigative actions taken. The apprehended individuals, along with other accused parties, will be presented before the court to face justice.
