New York, (SONNA) – At the United Nations Headquarters in New York today, the UN Security Council Unanimously voted to renew the UN Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM)’s mandate which is centered on the support for Somalia’s state and peacebuilding for another 12 months.
The UNSOM office in Somalia will continue its mission which is to support Somalia in state, peacebuilding, and reconciliation until the next mandate which is in one year.
