Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Chairman of the National Disaster Management Agency, Mr. Mohamud Abdulle Moallim met with Ambassador Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaysi of the United Arab Emirates in Mogadishu and discussed the role of the UAE government in addressing drought issues and development projects.
Moallim thanked the government and people of the UAE for their support of the Somali people and asked for continued efforts to assist those living in areas recently liberated from extremist groups. Ambassador Al-Rumaysi pledged to continue supporting the Somali people and both parties discussed potential areas for future collaboration, including water management, infrastructure development, and capacity building for local communities.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman presented Ambassador Al-Rumaysi with a letter of thanks and a gift as a gesture of appreciation for the good behavior of the Somali people. The meeting was seen as a positive step in strengthening the relationship between the UAE and Somalia and addressing the needs of the Somali people.
