Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somalia’s Southwest State electoral team on Wednesday expected to hold election of 13 seats for House of the People in Barawe town in lower Shabelle region, the second electoral district for the administration, SONNA reported.
The team registered 26 candidates vying for these seats planned to be held there Yesterday. Over 100 members of the Somalia’s Federal Parliament were elected so far and it is expected to be concluded on time.
The Council agreed to resume the delayed electoral process from January 15th and conclude by 25 February 2022.
Somalia’s International Partners also urged the Prime Minister and regional leaders to focus on the rapid implementation of the agreed decision so that a credible electoral process can be held and concluded on time.
