President Mustafa welcomes the Somali Cabinet decision on ONLF and Abdikarim Qalbidhagax

SONNA – The President of the Western Somali Regional State, Mustafa Muhumed Omar, welcomed the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia to remove ONLF as a terrorist organization, and described the victory of the Somali people in removing ONLY from the terrorist list.

“I strongly welcome the decision of the Executive Council of the Somali Republic to rescind an earlier decision to recognize the ONLF as a terrorist organization and handing over of the Abdikarim Sheikh Muse (Qalbidhagax) to the enemy,” President Mustafa said.

President described the decision of ONLF being declare a terrorist organization was an act of oppression against the people of the Western Somali Regional State and Islam.

Finally, President Mustafa said, “I hope that this dark and tragic history, which at the time was being criticized, will serve as a lesson to anyone who has committed such atrocities”.
