Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Lower House of the Somali Federal Parliament has today on Wednesday given overwhelmingly vote of confidence to the new Prime Minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble, SONNA reported.
Speaker of the Parliament, Hon. Mohamed Mursal Sh. Abdirahman said that 215 members gathered at the session of the House of the People today, noting that all members voted yes of the confidence vote to the Prime Minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble.
” I announce the result of the counting of the confidence vote, 215 members voted yes, no one rejected and no one abstained therefore, Mohamed Hussein Roble gained the the confidence of the Parliament and he is the Prime Minister of Somalia, Congratulation”, Mr. Abdirahman said.
The new Prime Minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble thanked Parliament members’ endorsement, expecting that the Parliament will also approve his cabinet when he set up.
” This is historic opportunity provided to me, I thank the President and Parliament. I promise that I will set up a quality Government that will respond the needs of national interest. My Government will work on the Security, elections, good governance and corruption, reviewing the constitution, reconciliation and international cooperation”, Mr. Roble said.
President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo thanked Parliament for accepting his request for approving the new Prime Minister and urged Mr. Roble to establish quality Government soon.
