CAIRO, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Abshir Omar Jama participated in the meeting of the Council of the Arab States at the ministerial level, which was held today at the headquarters of the University of Arab States, headed by His Excellency Mr. Sameh Shukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, President of the 12th session of the Council of the Arab States, and in the presence of His Highnesses the Arab Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary General of the Arab League.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to encouraging joint Arab work in various spheres, coordinating Arab attitudes toward current regional and international challenges, issues related to maintaining security and stability in the region, and ways of strengthening friendship and cooperation with the countries of the world in a way that enhances Arab interests.
