Mogadishu, SONNA — The National Consultative Council meeting, chaired by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, continues at the Presidential Palace in Mogadishu, entering its fourth day today.

Today’s sessions consisted of side meetings and discussions among technical committees working to facilitate the key agenda items for the Council meeting.

Although the President of Hirshabelle, His Excellency Ali Gudlawe, was excused to attend the Hirshabelle anniversary celebrations, he is expected to rejoin tomorrow’s scheduled meetings.

“The NCC meetings are progressing smoothly, without any obstacles, and we expect a joint political agreement and significant resolutions related to Somalia’s state-building endeavours to be announced soon,” said Abdirahman Hudeyfi, the Presidential Spokesperson.

The National Consultative Council meeting, now on its fourth day, is expected to conclude tomorrow.
