Mogadishu, SONNA – In a significant development in the ongoing battle to eradicate the terrorist group Al-Shabaab from Galmudug and Hirshabelle states, the government has officially released the names, positions, and status of key terrorist leaders who were targeted in recent operations.

For the past two months, a relentless campaign has been waged against Al-Shabaab within the states of Galmudug and Hirshabelle, leaving a lasting impact on the terrorists who had sought refuge in these areas.

The government’s efforts have included direct confrontations and precision airstrikes. These operations have resulted in the elimination of 19 high-ranking Al-Shabaab leaders who posed a significant threat to national stability.

Additionally, it is worth noting that beyond the leadership casualties, the relentless efforts of the government’s forces have resulted in the deaths of over 1,650 militants in the recent battles across Galmudug and Hirshabelle

Below is a detailed report on the fate of these leaders, including those who died, those who were wounded, those who surrendered, and those who escaped.
