Mogadishu(SONNA)-The terrorist militant group of Al-Shabaab on Saturday carried out deadly suicide car bomb attack in Beledweyne town in Hiiraan region, targeting civilians on their daily routine at their houses and business centers.
Regional authorities and Police forces are working on emergency situations, and gathering details of the exact figures of the casualties caused by the terrorist attack there. Medical teams are working on to recover missing people under debris of houses destroyed while some dead bodies brought according to the police and witnesses at the scene according to SONNA.
“The people of Beledweyne and Somalia will not be deterred by cowardly attacks on civilians. It is the actions of a detestable and vile group on its last days. We condemn it in the strongest possible terms. May Allah heal the wounded, and be Merciful to the dead”, Former Hirshabelle President, Mohamed Abdi Ware said on Twitter Post.
The Somali Prime Minster, Hamza Abdi Barre who is on working visit in the US, condemned the attack and sent condolence to the families and friends whose loved ones were killed the terrorist militants group, Al-Shabaab.
