A restaurant in the Howlwadaag District was attacked by a suicide bomber belonging to the alshabaab khwarij, a terrorist group that the Somali government has declared war on. The attack resulted in 5 deaths and 6 injuries, including the bomber himself.
The restaurant, Bar Bulsho, was a popular spot for people to have tea and socialize. The attack occurred on 29/Sep/2023 at 16:10 PM, when the bomber detonated his explosives near the entrance of the restaurant.
The alshabaab khwarij are enemies of the Somali people and the Muslims and have been killing maiming innocent lives for over a decade.
The Somali government has expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and vowed to continue its fight against the khwarij. The government has also called on the public to cooperate with the security forces and report any suspicious activities.
