Standing Committee Meeting Swears in New Cabinet Members in Somalia

Mogadishu, Somalia (SONNA) – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madobe), presided over an extraordinary meeting of the Standing Committee on Tuesday. The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Speaker and Committees in Villa Hargeisa, focused on the swearing-in of newly appointed members of the Cabinet.
The ceremony was conducted by MP Mohamed Abdullahi Hassan (Nuux), who administered the oath of office to the newly appointed officials. The event marked a significant step in the ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and public service in Somalia.
In his closing remarks, Speaker Madobe emphasized the importance of dedication and integrity in public service. He urged the newly sworn-in members to prioritize the nation’s interests and work diligently to fulfill their responsibilities.
The newly appointed officials include:
- Mr. Mohamed Farah Nuh, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation
- Mr. Mohamed Abdikadir Ali, Minister of Youth and Sports
- Mr. Mohamud Abdullahi Ahmed (Abukaate), Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry
- Ms. Amina Hussein Ali, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs
- Ms. Dahabo Suusow Muunye, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports
