Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), held a meeting in his office with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia, James Swan.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the House of the People and the United Nations. The UN Special Envoy commended the efforts of the House of the People, reaffirming the UN’s commitment to strengthening its support for Somalia.
Speaker Madoobe provided the envoy with an update on the activities of the House, particularly regarding the opening of the sixth session and issues related to the completion of the provisional constitution. He concluded the meeting by praising the collaborative relationship between the House of the People and the UN Office for Somalia.
