Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Daud Aweis Jama, met in Mogadishu with the British Deputy Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Ed Barnett on Wednesday.
The Minister and the Ambassador discussed the security situation, politics, reconciliation, social services and various areas in which the two countries can cooperate.
The Minister briefed the Deputy Ambassador on the progress made in the military operations against the Al-Shabaab terrorists, stabilization and reconciliation programs, and the meeting of the National Consultative Forum in Baidoa.
The British Deputy Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Barnett, said that the UK fully supports the political, security and stabilization programs of the Federal Government of Somalia, and is committed to seeing Somalia get back on its feet.
