Mogadishu, SONNA – Banadir Hospital, the main referral hospital in Somalia, celebrated its 47th anniversary on Thursday. The hospital, which was constructed by China in 1976 and is operated by the health ministry, provides various health services to the nation, including maternity, pediatric, and learning units. The hospital serves more than 3,000 patients every month, according to its officials.
The anniversary event was attended by various authorities, such as members of parliament, ministers, and doctors. They praised the hospital’s achievements and contributions to the health sector and the people of Somalia. They also discussed in a panel discussion, the challenges and opportunities facing the hospital and the health system in general.
