Mogadishu(SONNA)-Acting Ambassador of the Federal Government of Somalia to Sudan, Ahmed Abdi Hassan confirmed that they have released 30 Somali young men and women who were in prisons in Port-Sudan city of Sudan for the past five months, sending them back home Tuesday.
He said that 27 of them were men while 7 others were female and they were arrested during their way to continue migrating, saying that they are pursuing to find out whereabout of 11 other teenagers were abducted at an area about 1000 kilometers to Port-Sudan city. “The youth were on a bus at the time of incident”, he said.
He thanked United Nations’ International Organization for Immigration (IOM) for its role in rescuing those young people who trapped in Sudan that is currently experiencing conflict between two warring sides.
