Somali Parliament starts second Chapter of the Constitution’s debate

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia’s Lower and Upper Houses started the debate of the second Chapter of the Constitution today.

Parliamentary debate on Chapter 2, focusing on Articles 10-20 of the constitution, is underway. This crucial discussion impacts citizens’ rights and responsibilities.

The diverse perspectives brought forth during the debate highlighted the commitment of the parliamentarians to shape a constitution that truly represents the needs and aspirations of the Somali people.

This overwhelming participation showcased the significance of this critical stage in the constitutional reform process.

During the joint meeting, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and eagerness as the members of both houses gathered to debate the proposed amendments in Articles 10 to 20 within Chapter 2.
