Da’, SONNA – The Somali National Army (SNA) has successfully taken control of the village of Da’ in the El-Bur District of the Galgudud region on Thursday. The operation, which was aimed at eliminating the presence of Al-Shabaab militants, was a major success.
National forces were able to fully secure the village and expel the Khawarij who had been present there for a long time. There were no casualties among the SNA soldiers who participated in the operation, and the local residents are now safe.
The successful operation is being hailed as a major step towards eliminating the remaining Al-Shabaab presence in the Galmudug region. Da’ is 18 kilometers away from the town of El-Bur, which means that the SNA is now advancing towards Elbur town.
