Mahaas, Hiran Region, Somalia (SONNA) – The Commander of the Somali National Army, Gen. Yusuf Odowaa Raage, has announced plans to accelerate the fight against Khwarij groups in the Hiran Region. During a working visit to Mahaas, the Commander and other senior officers assessed the operational readiness of army units stationed in the area.

Upon arrival, Gen. Odowaa and his entourage were warmly received by the district administration and army officers. The Commander praised the dedication and bravery of both the army units and the civil defense forces actively engaged in combatting Khwarij groups.

The purpose of Gen. Odowaa’s visit was to closely observe the living conditions of the troops and to gather firsthand reports from the frontlines. During his visit, the Commander listened intently to updates from army and civil defense officers on the ongoing operations.

Gen. Odowaa emphasized the importance of intensifying military efforts to eradicate the remaining Khwarij groups in the Hiran Region. He urged the army units to double their efforts and continue their relentless pursuit of peace and stability in the region.

“The commitment and sacrifices of our forces are commendable, but we must increase our efforts to eliminate the threat posed by these Khwarij groups,” stated Gen. Odowaa. “We owe it to our country and our people to restore peace and security.”

This renewed focus on military operations highlights the Somali National Army’s resolve to protect the nation and ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens.
