Baghdad, (SONNA): The Minister of Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail Fartaag, visited the General Command of the Iraqi Police Force in Baghdad. This visit is part of his working trip to Iraq aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing security cooperation between the two nations.
The Somali Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Iraq, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and the Ambassador of Somalia to Iraq, Dr. Ridwaan Hirsi. The delegation was warmly received by their Iraqi counterparts, highlighting the strong and growing relationship between Somalia and Iraq.
During the visit, Minister Fartaag and Lieutenant General Al-Shammari engaged in productive discussions, focusing on areas of mutual interest, particularly in the field of security and law enforcement. The officials shared insights and best practices to improve the effectiveness and coordination of their respective police forces.
