Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army on Saturday liberated new areas near Beledweyne town in Hiiraan region after conducting an operation there, SONNA reported.
Deputy Govenor of Hiiraan region, Abukar Abullahi Madey said the forces took control ofΒ Ceelka-baar, Biitale, Gaburow locations west of Beledweyne town during the operation, praising the army for carrying the successful operation.
On the Other hand, Mohamed Hassan Moallim, Al-Shabab Militants’ head of Kurtun-warey court surrendered to the Somali National Army there in Lower Shabelle region mid-last night.
The militant himself decided to leave the group, made contact with SNA officials, and surrendered to them according to the military officials in the region.
