Hirshabelle, SONNA – The Federal Government of Somalia has confirmed that national forces and local resistance fighters have continued their relentless campaign against the Kharijites for the fifth straight day, today successfully clearing the Geelgub area of militant presence.
Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, H.E. Abdirahman Yusuf Al-Adala, announced that Kharijites militants had suffered heavy losses in the Geelgub operation, part of a broader push to reclaim territory and eliminate the terrorist threat in the central regions.
