Mogadishu, SONNA – In a crucial effort to mitigate the impact of Cyclone Laly, the Commissioner of the National Disaster Management Agency, Mahamud Moallim, hosted the Presidents of Southwest and Jubbaland States at the agency’s headquarters in Mogadishu.
The high-level meeting focused on ongoing humanitarian initiatives and the urgent alert regarding Cyclone Laly’s trajectory toward coastal cities, including Mogadishu, Barawe, Marka, Jamame, Kismayo, and Badhadhe. By collaborating closely with regional leaders, the agency aims to enhance preparedness, response, and coordination to safeguard communities in the face of this natural disaster.
