Mogadishu (SONNA) – Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahmoud Ma’alin Abdulle, held a significant meeting today with USAID Chief of Staff Catie Lott, accompanied by other officials. The meeting focused on enhancing the partnership and cooperation between SoDMA and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Key discussions centered around the success of the food security program, a vital project funded by the United States government through USAID. Both parties explored strategies to ensure the program’s effectiveness and sustainability, alongside other critical issues pertinent to their shared objectives.
Commissioner Mahmoud Ma’alin Cabdulle expressed his gratitude to the United States Government and USAID for their longstanding support in state building, development, and humanitarian assistance to the Somali people. He highlighted the importance of this collaboration in fostering resilience and improving the livelihoods of communities across Somalia.
