Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, H.E. Ali Abdi Awaare, held a meeting at the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo with Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ali Yousuf Al-Sharif, and Sudan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Gen. Imad Eldin Mustafa.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Sharif commended the deep-rooted ties between Somalia and Sudan and expressed gratitude for Somalia’s respectful reception of the Sudanese community residing in the country. He also provided an overview of the current political situation in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation in addressing shared challenges.
In response, Ambassador Awaare reaffirmed the strong relationship between the two nations and highlighted the importance of collaboration across various sectors. He thanked the Sudanese officials for the opportunity to exchange views and enhance mutual understanding.
The meeting underscored the enduring bond between Somalia and Sudan, reinforcing their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and fostering regional stability.
