Beijing, (SONNA) – The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to China, Ms. Hodan Osman Abdi, officially participated in an international conference in Beijing focused on enhancing the United Nations (UN) role and promoting multilateralism. Organized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event attracted high-level officials from UN member states, international experts, and representatives from key global organizations.
The conference was inaugurated by officials including Deputy Foreign Minister Miao Deyu, with remarks from Guy Ryder, the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN, and numerous diplomats representing various governments and organizations.
Ambassador Hodan Osman Abdi delivered significant speeches during the session, emphasizing Somalia’s full support for the UN’s role and the importance of global cooperation. She highlighted that strengthening the UN system is vital for achieving lasting peace and inclusive development.
