Baardheere, Gedo – The Somali National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has successfully distributed relief supplies to more than 700 families in the Baardheere district of the Gedo region.
These families, selected from various neighborhoods in the district and its surrounding areas, include the most vulnerable among the community: the poor, displaced, disabled, and orphans. The relief aid, generously donated by the People’s Republic of China, aims to alleviate the hardships faced by these families.
During the distribution event, many beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude towards SoDMA. One recipient shared, “This aid has come at a time when we needed it the most. We are incredibly grateful to SoDMA and the Chinese government for their support.”
The SoDMA continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting and uplifting communities across Somalia, working tirelessly to ensure that no one is left behind in times of need.
