Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Somali National Army, in collaboration with U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), has successfully executed a carefully coordinated airstrike operation in the Middle Shabelle region of Hirshabelle State. This operation follows a decisive victory over Al-Shabaab terrorists in various areas, including Laba Garas.
The airstrike aimed to target terrorists attempting to regroup after suffering substantial losses in recent confrontations with the Somali National Army and local defenders.
Both the Somali National Army and AFRICOM are committed to enhancing their partnership in the ongoing battle against al-Shabaab. Assessments from recent operations reveal a significant weakening of the terrorist group, underscoring the effectiveness of these collaborative efforts.
